Provenance

Why this one made the wall

New to Martin's Road Series for 2026, the 000-10E Retro pairs a solid spruce top with solid sapele back and sides on a 000-14 fret body, with scalloped spruce X-bracing.

The look is old-school Martin: satin finish with Aging Toner on the top, black binding, a faux tortoise guard and nickel open-gear tuners. The neck is the modern part. It has Martin's Performing Artist profile with the High-Performance Taper, a 1 3/4" nut and an ebony fingerboard on a 24.9" scale. If a traditional Martin neck has always felt like a handful, this is the one to try.

Martin E1 electronics with a built-in tuner, a factory Plek job and Martin's softshell case round it out.

Frequently asked

Questions we get

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

Ian's work is described on Repairs and tuning.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.

Exchange it for something else and there is no restocking fee, though you cover the shipping on the instrument going back. On a straight refund it is 10% plus the actual shipping both ways.

The full terms are on Shipping and returns.

Can I pay for it over time?

Canadian buyers can pay over time with PayPlan by RBC, chosen as the payment method at checkout. The exact terms come from RBC and are shown to you before you agree to anything.

Financing never changes the price of the guitar. More on Financing.
