About Nacho Guitars

We are passionate about vintage guitars. We love the way they look, feel, and sound. We work hard to achieve these qualities on newly built instruments. We apply old school techniques to make every guitar feel like an old friend, different, and unique. Our finishing and aging processes are meant to make a guitar feel like a vintage workhorse that's been played every day for over 60 years. All materials are selected according to vintage specs and they are meticulously treated to replicated the passing of time. They say God lives in the details. We believe it only takes a few details to set apart an outstanding instrument from a correct one, and we strive to get those details right.

Whatever came with it comes with it: the case where there is one, certificates, case candy, paperwork. All of it checked against the serial before it ships.

Bench inspected

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships: frets polished, hardware tightened, truss rod and action set, nut slots and intonation dialled, pickup heights and electronics adjusted. Order online and that setup is free.

Ships insured

Ships worldwide from Ottawa, insured for its full value. Free shipping in Canada and the US on orders over $200, some exclusions apply. US orders arrive with no duty, tax or brokerage owed at the door.

Frequently asked

Questions we get

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

Ian's work is described on Repairs and tuning.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.

Exchange it for something else and there is no restocking fee, though you cover the shipping on the instrument going back. On a straight refund it is 10% plus the actual shipping both ways.

The full terms are on Shipping and returns.

Can I pay for it over time?

Canadian buyers can pay over time with PayPlan by RBC, chosen as the payment method at checkout. The exact terms come from RBC and are shown to you before you agree to anything.

Financing never changes the price of the guitar. More on Financing.
