Why this one made the wall

Novo's Solus H2 in aged gold, and the aging is the part worth talking about. Novo greens their gold finishes as they age them, so the top does not just dull down, it shifts. Gold that has gone slightly green in the way a real one does after decades, rather than gold with wear marks added.

Les Paul flavoured in the way a Solus is: single cut, two humbuckers, cream guard against the gold, MOTO block inlays. The body is a German carve in tempered pine, so the top edge is cut away in a dish rather than rolled, which is the detail that stops it looking like a copy of anything.

A pair of Fralin Pure PAFs in cream rings, through gold bell knobs and a cream toggle tip. TonePros Tune-o-matic and stoptail, 24.75" scale, tempered maple neck in a medium C at .830", rosewood board, 9.5" to 14" compound radius, Jescar 57110 jumbo wire, Bull Black peghead, Stringjoy 11-50.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

What if it is not right when it arrives?
