Who this one is for

The Classic S Studio is a limited edition Classic S that Suhr built as a nod to the studio guitars of the '80s and '90s. An alder body takes a hand-selected 2-piece flame maple top in a stained burst under gloss, and the headstock face is matched to the figured top. Gold hardware throughout, with a recessed Gotoh Floyd Rose and Suhr locking tuners.

The electronics set it apart from the rest of the Classic S range: EMG SA pickups in the neck and middle, an EMG 85 at the bridge, and an EMG SPC mid-range boost with its own trim control. The roasted maple neck is the Even C Slim in satin, on an Indian rosewood board with a 10"-14" compound radius, heavy stainless steel frets and Luminlay side and face dots.

The four finishes share every spec, so the choice is Cherry Burst, Bengal Burst, Blue Burst or Trans Green Burst. For the same neck carve and fret wire with V60LP single coils and a 2-Post Tremolo, look at the Classic S Plus.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
