Taylor's Grand Concert body in Indian rosewood and spruce, built around V-Class bracing. Taylor's stated aim with V-Class is more sustain and better intonation up the neck than the X-brace it replaced, and the Grand Concert is the shape where that shows itself most plainly: a smaller body that stays articulate under fingers instead of asking to be driven.
The 800 Series is where Taylor spends its appointments. Abalone rosette, Element inlays in West African Crelicam ebony, pale maple fingerboard binding, rock maple body binding and smoked nickel tuners, with a rosewood armrest that takes the edge off the lower bout. The Venetian cutaway and Expression System 2 make it a working guitar rather than a display piece.
24-7/8" scale and a 1 3/4" nut, in a gloss 4.5 finish, with the deluxe hardshell case.
