The Burnside Combo is Two-Rock's wide panel tweed in a 1x12: two 6L6s and a GZ34 rectifier for 28 watts into a Two-Rock TR12. The controls interact like a vintage tweed's, and with Bass all the way up the low end gets that round, horn-like push.
Two-Rock builds it in pine instead of birch for more vintage attack. It's the lightest combo in the line at 36 lbs. Put a 12AX7 in the 12AY7 slot when you want more gain. A passive loop and 4, 8 and 16 ohm outputs cover the rest.
For a player who wants an old tweed's feel without the old tweed's upkeep. If you need clean headroom with your pedals out front, the Studio Signature Combo is the one to compare it with. The standard build is black tweed with a cane grille.
The combo in the photo is in blond tolex with a wheat grille, shown as an example. Other coverings and grille cloths are available to order, and the price changes with the options chosen.
