The Burnside is Two-Rock's take on the wide panel tweed: two 6L6s and a GZ34 rectifier for 28 watts, with Volume, Treble, Bass and Presence that all lean on each other the way an old tweed's controls do. How hard you pick decides how much it breaks up.
It's the most vintage-feeling amp in the line and the smallest head. Two-Rock builds the cabinet in pine instead of its usual birch for more of that old attack. Swapping the 12AY7 in the preamp for a 12AX7 gives it more gain. There's a passive effects loop and outputs for 4, 8 and 16 ohms.
Pair it with the 1x12 Small Open Back for the classic tweed sound in the room. For a clean pedal platform in the same compact size, look at the Studio Signature. The standard build is black tweed with a cane grille.
Two-Rock doesn't photograph the Burnside head, so the photo shows the Burnside Combo in blond tolex with a wheat grille. The head is the same amp in its own compact cabinet. Other coverings and grille cloths are available to order, and the price changes with the options chosen.
