What Neural DSP is known for
Neural Capture. Plug in a real amp, cab, drive pedal or compressor and the unit learns how it sounds and responds, then lets you play it anywhere, with thousands more Captures from other players in Cortex Cloud. Doug Castro founded Neural DSP after starting Darkglass Electronics. The flagship Quad Cortex has six cores, a 7 inch touchscreen and enough power to run four amp models with stereo effects at once.

Questions
Neural DSP questions, answered
What's the difference between the Quad Cortex, the Quad Cortex mini and the Nano Cortex?
The Quad Cortex is the full floor unit with six cores and a 7 inch touchscreen. The Quad Cortex mini has the same processing power, touchscreen and Neural Capture in a footprint more than 50% smaller, 22.8 by 11.8 cm and 1.5 kg. The Nano Cortex is a 620 g pedal with Neural Capture at the same resolution as the Quad Cortex, 50+ effects and 300 IRs, without the touchscreen.
What is Neural Capture?
Neural DSP's way of making a digital copy of real gear. Capture V1 runs on the unit itself and suits most amps, cabs and overdrives; Capture V2 is processed in Cortex Cloud at higher resolution for touch-sensitive gear like fuzzes, compressors and very dynamic tube amps.
Can I record with a Nano Cortex?
Yes. It works as a low-latency USB audio interface at 24-bit, 48 kHz, and can run from a standard USB battery pack when you're away from a wall plug.
