The HG-46 is the 000 in Boucher's Heritage Goose series, 12 frets to the body and built in Quebec. Robin Boucher personally selects the torrefied Adirondack red spruce for both its top and its bracing.
This one carries Boucher's Master Grade Pack. The top steps up to Master Grade torrefied Adirondack, and the standard maple binding and herringbone rosette give way to Koa binding and an abalone rosette. Herringbone purfling still runs around the top edge.
Back and sides are Brazilian mahogany, with a one-piece South American mahogany neck, solid ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a forward-shifted, hand-scalloped X brace. Boucher built the HG-46 to give mids and bass depth under the fingers, and to keep them even with a capo at the seventh fret. It weighs 3 lb 12 oz and ships in Boucher's TKL tweed deluxe hardshell case.
