Provenance

Why this one made the wall

Carlos Lopez built this one for Beyond the Burst and completed it on 24 August 2026. There is nothing else like it: a Conchers doubleneck, a twelve-string baritone over a six-string baritone, in Antigua on an ash body.

Both necks run a 27" scale, which is what makes them baritones rather than long-scale guitars, and both are quartersawn roasted maple with ebony boards, block inlays, white nitro binding and a medium V profile at .850" and .900". Twenty-one Jescar medium jumbo frets over a 12" radius, bone nuts at 1.725", double truss rods, Kluson tuners, natural tint on the necks against the Antigua body.

Each neck carries three of Castedosa's hand-wound TS mini humbuckers, so there are six pickups on the instrument, through custom wiring and a nickel control plate with black knobs. The La Raza fuzz circuit is built into the guitar rather than sitting in front of it, which is the thing people tend to reach for first when they pick up a Conchers Baritone and the reason this design has the following it does. Descendant bridge and trem, twelve-string spacing, aged nickel hardware, Antigua full guard, arm and belly contours.

A baritone twelve is a rare enough instrument on its own. Pairing it with a six-string baritone on one body, with a fuzz circuit inside and six hand-wound pickups, puts this somewhere outside the usual run of custom orders. It is a one-off, and it is the kind of thing that turns up once.

Frequently asked

Questions we get

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

Ian's work is described on Repairs and tuning.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.

Exchange it for something else and there is no restocking fee, though you cover the shipping on the instrument going back. On a straight refund it is 10% plus the actual shipping both ways.

The full terms are on Shipping and returns.

Can I pay for it over time?

Canadian buyers can pay over time with PayPlan by RBC, chosen as the payment method at checkout. The exact terms come from RBC and are shown to you before you agree to anything.

Financing never changes the price of the guitar. More on Financing.
