Featuring a 15″ lower bout, 1 5/8″ depth, and hand-carved solid wood construction, the I-35 is a unique modern tribute to the heritage of the double cutaway semi-hollow electric guitar. The I-35’s design pairs a hollowed out mahogany body with a maple center block for a tonal response that is complex and quick with an “airy” character. The I-35’s carved maple top includes high arches and ample re-curve, allowing the best qualities of the solid wood to shine through in its amplified tone. An instrument that is at home in almost any genre, the Collings I-35 has quickly become one of our most popular electric models.

The I-35 Deluxe features a grained ivoroid-bound body, fingerboard, and peghead, along with our custom ivoroid top hat knobs, pickup rings, and truss rod cover.

The I-35 Deluxe bodies and tops are carved from solid mahogany and maple and feature a maple center block.  These solid wood models offer a clear, detailed, harmonically rich tone that shows off the acoustic characteristics of the tonewoods.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.
