Gibson developed the J-35 from the Jumbo in 1936, in the Depression, as a plainer guitar that still sounded warm and balanced. This reissue is built in Bozeman to the look, feel and sound of a seasoned original.
A thermally aged red spruce top with hand-scalloped Advanced X-bracing in hide glue, mahogany back and sides, a 1.77 inch nut on a historic neck, an open-slot bridge with historic string spacing and cream-button strap tuners. Vintage Sunburst in thin VOS nitro. No pickup.
