The 1942 Banner LG-2 is the small Gibson from the war years, named for the "Only a Gibson is Good Enough" banner on its headstock. Gibson describes it as a small guitar with a big voice, well balanced and suited to folk, blues and fingerstyle.
A thermally aged Adirondack red spruce top over mahogany, hand-scalloped X-bracing set with hide glue, a historic neck profile on a rosewood board, an open-slot rectangle bridge and Golden Age tuners. Vintage Sunburst in Gibson's thin VOS nitro, in a period-correct case. No pickup.
