The Country Western began in 1955 as a version of the Southern Jumbo and took the Hummingbird's square shoulders in 1962: a natural top and a plain tortoise guard where the Hummingbird has its graphics. This reissue has a thermally aged Sitka spruce top over mahogany with a rosewood marquetry strip down the back. The Murphy Lab ages the nitro finish and hardware to look like a guitar that has been played for decades.
A rounded neck on a rosewood board with parallelogram inlays, a belly-up bridge and Gotoh tuners. Smoked Natural, Heavy Aged, in a black case with goldenrod interior. No pickup.
