The Dove followed the Hummingbird in 1962 as Gibson's second square-shoulder. This 1963 reissue has flame maple back and sides, a thermally aged Sitka spruce top and a 25.5 inch scale, with the Dove bridge and its two pearl doves and the dove pickguard with stamped vines and flowers. The Murphy Lab ages the nitro finish and hardware to look like a guitar that has been played for decades.
A round neck on a rosewood board with parallelogram inlays and Kluson waffleback tuners. Dark Natural, Light Aged, in a period-correct black case with gold interior. No pickup.
