The Hummingbird was Gibson's first square-shoulder acoustic, in 1960, and it works as well for strummed chords as for lead lines. The Standard has Sitka spruce over mahogany, 5-ply top binding, a rounded mahogany neck on a rosewood board with parallelogram inlays, and the Hummingbird pickguard.
A Baggs VTC pickup with soundhole volume and tone, Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Gibson hardshell case. Vintage Cherry Sunburst, Vintage Sunburst, Purple Burst and Translucent Teal, plus Southwestern Turquoise at a higher price.
