The J-160E is the acoustic-electric The Beatles used on Ed Sullivan and through their early records. Gibson's second acoustic with onboard electronics, it has a P-90 mounted at the end of the fingerboard with volume and tone on the top.
This version uses a solid Sitka spruce top over mahogany with scalloped X-bracing and a hot hide glue dovetail neck joint, a SlimTaper neck on a bound rosewood board with trapezoid inlays, a bone nut and saddle, and Gotoh keystone tuners. Vintage Sunburst, gloss nitro.
