Why this one made the wall

Olive drab, matte, and then the Emperor Shmear, which on this one runs over the arm contour and up the neck. Tyler paints the shmear onto the carve itself rather than stopping at the edge of it, so the marbling wraps round the contour instead of being interrupted by it, and the headstock is finished to match. Ultimate Weapon headstock, gold standard logo.

The neck is roasted birdseye maple with a maple board, ST64 profile at a 1-5/8" nut, wide and tall frets, and Blue Luminlay inlays. Luminlay is the detail that matters on a dark stage: the markers hold a charge and stay visible when nothing else on the guitar is.

HSS with the Ultimate Weapon layout. Two HCS-JTS5500s at neck and middle, a slanted Shark at the bridge, and a midboost preamp on Volume, Boost and Tone with its own bypass, so the boost is in circuit when you want it and out of the way when you do not. Five-way with an added neck-and-bridge switch beside it, a lead/rhythm circuit and series/split/parallel switching on top of that.

Alder body, rear rout, no pickguard. Black hardware throughout, dome knobs, Hipshot locking tuners, G2TS bridge, 9-46s. Seven pounds ten ounces.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.
