Provenance
A passive volume control that goes in your amp's series effects loop and sets how much signal reaches the power section. You can run the preamp hard for its natural drive and keep the overall level down to bedroom volume. It goes in a series loop only: not between the amp and speaker, and not in a parallel loop.
