Our take

Who this one is for

The 2x12 Cabinet is Suhr's partially open-back 2x12, 10 inches deep on a 24" by 28.88" face. Its 120-watt rating at 8 ohms covers low-wattage heads and high-powered ones alike, and it ships with a slip cover.

There are two coverings. Black tolex comes with a black or gold grill, loaded with two Warehouse Veteran 30s or two Celestion Vintage 30s, or unloaded for your own speakers. Graphite tolex comes with a black and silver grill and the same two speaker loads. The Graphite version is the one we would put next to a Badger head, since it carries the same covering and grill as the Suhr 1x12 Cabinet built for that amp.

For a closed back and two more inches of depth on the same face, look at the 2x12 Deep. The Hedgehog 2x12 is another partially open design, loaded with Celestion Heritage G12-65s and rated at 130 watts.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
