Our take

Who this one is for

The PT15 2x12 is the closed-back cab Suhr built to partner the PT15 head, using 4x12 construction methods in a 24"-wide box. Suhr's aim was to bring the size and feel of a 4x12 down to something lighter and easier to handle, and the large internal air space and angled baffle are how it gets there.

It carries one Celestion Greenback and one Celestion Vintage 30, mounted diagonally with the Greenback upper left and the Vintage 30 lower right. Suhr settled on that pairing after testing a range of speaker combinations. The cab is rated at 50 watts into 8 ohms, weighs 54 lbs and comes with a slip cover, in Black Taurus tolex with a black grill to match the PT15 Head.

The PT15 1x12 is the smaller option, with a single Creamback in a ported box. For two Greenbacks over two Vintage 30s in a full-size cab, look at the PT100 4x12.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
