The Classic T is Suhr's T-style guitar in its most traditional form: a tinted maple neck carved to the 60's C Vintage Standard profile, a pair of Suhr Classic T single coils with Alnico 5 magnets, and a Wilkinson compensated 3-saddle bridge. Two things carry over from the Classic T Pro: medium stainless steel frets and Suhr's SSCII system, which takes the 60-cycle hum out of the single coils without a battery.
Compensated saddles keep the three-barrel layout while letting each string pair sit closer to pitch up the neck. The 9"-12" compound radius is rounder near the nut and flatter higher up for bends, and stainless frets wear far more slowly than nickel. Suhr locking tuners make string changes quick.
The six finishes split by fingerboard. 3 Tone Burst, Black and Olympic White come on Indian rosewood; 2 Tone Tobacco Burst, Trans Butterscotch and Trans White come on tinted maple. Our pick is the Trans Butterscotch, a see-through finish over a maple board.
For thin nitro with light checking and a slightly fuller neck, look at the Classic T Antique. The Alt T takes the same shape toward a chambered body and a pair of SSV humbuckers.
