Our take

Who this one is for

The Hedgehog 2x12 is the partially open-back cab Suhr matches to the Hedgehog amplifier, loaded with two Celestion Heritage G12-65s and rated at 130 watts into 8 ohms. It is covered in black tolex with a black and silver grill and comes with a slip cover.

It is laid out side by side on a 24" by 28.88" face, 10.5" deep, so a Hedgehog 50 Head sits on top as a conventional half stack. That is the version we would choose for a player who wants the head at hand height.

The Hedgehog Vertical 2x12 stacks the speakers one above the other in a cab 23" wide, for a narrower footprint on a crowded stage. For a partially open 2x12 with Warehouse Veteran 30s or Vintage 30s, look at the 2x12 Cabinet.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
