The Royalist MKIII Head is the Royalist circuit without the speaker: 40 watts from two EL34s with a 5AR4 rectifier, two channels, and a 1964, 1967 and 1970 voicing switch on each one. 1964 is JTM45 and Bluesbreaker, 1967 is Plexi, 1970 is Super Lead.
It's a non-master-volume design with an Iron Man II attenuator per channel, so each channel can be run hard and turned down on its own. PULL FAT on each Volume adds low end, an HF switch tames bright pickups, and there's a level-controlled line out for recording.
Speaker impedance switches between 4, 8 and 16 ohms, so it will drive either Royalist cabinet. The 1x12 is semi-open and 16 ohms. The 2x12 is closed back, rear-ported and 8 ohms, and it's the one to pick if you want the low end and focus of a bigger British stack.
