The Mod Shop Cub 15 combo is Bad Cat's grab-and-go amp: the Cub circuit the company was founded on in 1999, revoiced with tighter lows and reshaped mids, in a smaller cabinet than the Cubs that came before it. It's 15 watts from two EL84s through a UK-made Celestion Greenback, which is about as classic a pairing as a 1x12 gets.
It's a single channel with a Clean/Overdrive gain selector and two switchable master volumes, so the footswitch gives you a rhythm and lead setting without a second channel. The amp is very responsive to what's plugged in. A Strat and a Les Paul sound like two different amps here, and so do two Les Pauls.
Reverb, a buffered loop, a line out and extension outputs at 4, 8 and 16 ohms are all there for when it goes to a gig. The Cub 15 head is the same amp for players who already have a cab they love.
