The Hot Cat 50 combo is the current version of the amp Bad Cat players have used for high gain for over 25 years. Bad Cat redesigned the power section around two EL34s at 50 watts, loosened up the EQ, and gave it two channels with Lo and Hi modes. In a 1x12 combo with a custom Bad Cat Celestion, it's the most versatile amp they make.
The clean channel ranges from glassy American cleans in Lo to bright, biting country lead in Hi. The overdrive channel is voiced closer to a JCM-style amp, so it lands in classic arena-rock crunch, and the Hi mode takes it further for harder rock and metal. Each channel has its own gain and volume, sharing Treble, Middle and Bass, with a global master and presence.
Reverb, a buffered effects loop, a line out and 4, 8 and 16 ohm outputs are all on board, and it ships with a cover and a two-button footswitch for channel and mode. If you need one amp to cover a whole set, this is the one in the Bad Cat line we'd point you to.
