The SG-52 is a Studio Goose dreadnought with East Indian Rosewood back and sides and an AAAA Adirondack red spruce top. Robin Boucher selects each top, and the spruce comes from the region around the workshop in Berthier-sur-Mer, Quebec. Boucher designed the series for players who want a true acoustic sound on stage and in the studio. The modified V neck has a 1.750" nut and joins the body at the 14th fret, with a satin neck against a gloss body.
For the same body in mahogany, look at the SG-42, and for Madagascar Rosewood, the SG-152. The SG-51 OM Hybrid and the SG-53 S-Jumbo carry this rosewood in other sizes, and the SG12-52-E is the 12-string version of this dreadnought.
