Ordering a Boucher from Lauzon Music
The current Boucher range
Boucher builds in series. Each series comes in a few body shapes, and each shape in a choice of back and sides.
- Studio Goose. OM Hybrid, Dreadnought and S-Jumbo on AAAA Adirondack red spruce tops, in bubinga, mahogany, rosewood or curly maple
- Heritage Goose. 12-fret Parlor and 000, with a torrefied Adirondack top and bracing
- Bluegrass Goose. Dreadnought and OM Hybrid, from torrefied mahogany up to Brazilian rosewood back and sides
- Grande Reserve. Torrefied flamed maple back and sides, in 3A and 5A grades, on Studio Goose and Heritage Goose bodies
- 12-String. Boucher's 12-string in OM Hybrid, Dreadnought and S-Jumbo
- Signature. The JP Cormier and Patrick Norman signature models

Which Boucher models can I order?
Any model on this page: the Studio Goose, Heritage Goose, Bluegrass Goose and Grande Reserve series, the 12-strings, and the JP Cormier and Patrick Norman signature models. If the Boucher you want isn't listed, ask us in the chat.
Studio Goose or Heritage Goose?
The Studio Goose comes in OM Hybrid, Dreadnought and S-Jumbo shapes. The Heritage Goose is smaller, a 12-fret Parlor or 000, with torrefied Adirondack spruce for both the top and the bracing. Both use Adirondack red spruce tops.
What does torrefied mean on a Boucher?
Torrefied wood has been roasted to age it faster. Boucher developed its process with Université Laval and was the first builder to offer torrefied Adirondack spruce tops, in 2010. The Heritage Goose has a torrefied top and bracing as standard, the Grande Reserve adds torrefied maple back and sides, and Bluegrass Goose models marked T have torrefied mahogany.
What do 3A and 5A mean on a Boucher Grande Reserve?
They are the two grades of torrefied flamed maple Boucher offers for the back and sides. 5A is the higher grade of figure.

How much do I pay today?
Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.
When will it arrive?
It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.
Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.
What if the price goes up before it arrives?
You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.
Is the setup included?
Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup on our bench before it ships.
Can I finance it?
Paying in full: yes, if you're in Canada. Choose PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything.
Paying a 25% deposit: the deposit can't be financed, and it's paid by card or PayPal.

Can I pay with Shop Pay or Apple Pay?
Not on a deposit: Shopify only takes a pre-order deposit by card or PayPal. Pay in full and checkout works as usual.
