Ordering a Martin from Lauzon Music
The current Martin range
Martin organises its range by series, and the series tells you the construction. The Standard Series sets the template, and the others build on it, modernise it, or bring it to a lower price.
- Standard Series. The D-18, D-28, HD-28, 000-28 and OM-28: all solid wood, handmade in Nazareth, Pennsylvania
- Modern Deluxe. Classic shapes with a carbon fibre bridge plate, titanium truss rod and gold frets
- Authentic Series. 1937 D-18 and D-28 rebuilt with period construction, some with aged tops and braces
- 16 and 15 Series. 16 Series acoustic-electrics with L.R. Baggs Element pickups, and all-solid mahogany 15 Series guitars
- Road Series. Solid tops, scalloped X-bracing and onboard electronics
- X Series. Rugged acoustic-electrics with Martin E1 electronics and a built-in tuner
- Signature Editions and Custom Shop. Artist models from Billy Strings, John Mayer, Johnny Marr and Molly Tuttle, and current Custom Shop builds

Questions
Martin questions, answered
Which Martin models can I order?
The current Standard, Modern Deluxe, Authentic, 16, 15, Road, X, Junior and Little Martin models on this page, plus Signature Editions and Custom Shop models. That covers dreadnoughts, 000s, OMs, 00s, Grand Performance and 12-strings.
Should I order a Standard Series or a Modern Deluxe Martin?
Both use the classic Martin shapes and tonewoods. The Standard Series is the traditional build. Modern Deluxe adds a carbon fibre bridge plate, a titanium truss rod and gold frets. If you like a D-28 or 000-28, both versions are on this page.
What's the difference between the X Series and the Road Series?
Road Series guitars have solid tops with scalloped X-bracing and onboard electronics. X Series guitars are built to be rugged, with Martin E1 electronics and a built-in tuner, and the models with a 2 in the name, like the D-X2E, have solid wood tops.
Can I order a Martin twelve-string or bass?
Yes. The HD12-28, Grand J-16E 12-String and D-X2E Brazilian 12-String are on this page, and so is the 000C Jr E acoustic bass.
Pre-orders
Pre-order questions
How much do I pay today?
Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.
When will it arrive?
It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.
Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.
What if the price goes up before it arrives?
You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.
Is the setup included?
Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup on our bench before it ships.
Can I finance it?
Paying in full: yes, if you're in Canada. Choose PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything.
Paying a 25% deposit: the deposit can't be financed, and it's paid by card or PayPal.
More on Financing.
Can I pay with Shop Pay or Apple Pay?
Not on a deposit: Shopify only takes a pre-order deposit by card or PayPal. Pay in full and checkout works as usual.
