Who this one is for

The HG-66 brings Canadian Curly Maple to the Heritage Goose 000, a 12-fret body with a torrefied AAAA Adirondack red spruce top. Boucher roasts the spruce, bracing included, to age it, and builds the guitar in Berthier-sur-Mer, Quebec. The series is voiced for fingerstyle, and Boucher says it keeps mid and bass depth with a capo up to the 7th fret.

The 12-fret joint moves the bridge nearer the centre of the lower bout, and the V-shape neck has a 1.750" nut, with 2.250" spacing at the 12th fret on special order. The maple figure varies from one guitar to the next, so the photos show one example. The HG-64 is this maple on the parlor. For the 000 in torrefied flamed maple, the Grande Reserve GR-HG-66T comes in a 3A grade and the GR-HG-166T in 5A, and the SG-61 puts curly maple on the Studio Goose OM Hybrid.

It can be built up with Boucher's option packs for finish, pickups, top grade and trim, listed below.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
