The SG-152 is a Studio Goose dreadnought with Madagascar Rosewood back and sides, under an AAAA Adirondack red spruce top that Robin Boucher selects by hand. Boucher sources the spruce from the region around its workshop in Berthier-sur-Mer, Quebec, and builds the series for players who need an accurate acoustic sound on stage and in the studio. The modified V neck has a 1.750" nut, joins the body at the 14th fret, and carries Gotoh closed gear tuners on Boucher's own headstock.
It is the only Studio Goose built in Madagascar Rosewood. For the same dreadnought in East Indian Rosewood, look at the SG-52. If bluegrass is the goal, the Bluegrass Goose BG-152 is a Madagascar Rosewood dreadnought with a bluegrass build.
