Our 1-style (001) features Honduran mahogany back and sides with tortoise body binding and ebony butt wedge, b/w/b/w top purfling, a walnut backstrip, dot fingerboard inlays, and a simpler 1-style rosette.

We offer the 00 in its original 12-fret configuration, a guitar shape that was first designed around the time of the Civil War. Its dimensions are similar to a typical classical guitar, with a slotted headstock and small pyramid bridge. The comfortable size and timeless appearance of the Collings 00 is matched by the ease of playing a wide neck and shorter string scale affords. The tone is typically balanced and precise, and we’ve seen it adopted for a wide range of playing styles from simple vocal accompaniment to ragtime solos. Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.
