The C-00 is Collings' small-body 14-fret. It is modeled on the 00 guitars of the early to mid 1930s. It has a short 24 7/8" scale, a 14 3/4" lower bout, and a custom X-brace with an abbreviated tongue brace. Collings voices it drier and more fundamental than their other acoustics, with the midrange pushed forward.
Sitka spruce over Honduran mahogany, with East Indian rosewood on the fingerboard and bridge. The neck is a full V with rounded fingerboard edges, about .960" at the first fret and 1.060" by the ninth, on a 1 3/4" bone nut. If you like a neck that fills your hand, this is one.
This one is finished in C-00 Sunburst and carries Pinctada maxima pearl through the trim: the Collings logo, the fingerboard dots and the inlays in the ivoroid bridge pins. It weighs 3 lb 11.5 oz and comes in a Collings hardshell case.
