Provenance

Why this one made the wall

Used, in mint condition. There are no marks anywhere on it, and it is all original, exactly as it left Collings. It weighs 8 lb 3.2 oz and comes in its Collings deluxe hardshell case.

This CL Deluxe wears a custom finish: Trans Denim over a flamed maple top, with a TV White back. The flame reads clearly through the blue, and the white back gives it a sharp contrast.

It carries ThroBak SLE-101 Plus humbuckers in place of the standard Lollar Imperials, wired 50s style through CTS 500K pots and Jupiter Vintage Yellow caps.

Parallelogram inlays run up the rosewood fingerboard and onto the peghead, with grained ivoroid binding on the body, fingerboard and peghead. Custom grained ivoroid top hat knobs and pickup rings round out the Deluxe appointments.

Underneath, it is Honduran mahogany for the body and neck, joined with an extra long mortise and tenon, on a 24 7/8" scale with a 12" radius and a 1 11/16" nut. Built in Austin, Texas.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses our bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.
