Six pounds fifteen ounces, and that number tells you most of what this guitar is for.
The MusTwang is El Cabron's take on the short-scale offset, on an alder body, and the distressing here is not a light checking pass. Black over yellow, worn back through both coats to bare wood across the lower bout and the forearm, with a hand-painted warning stencil left showing through the wear: a loudspeaker icon between the words -WARNING- in red and HIGH SOUND LEVELS in white.
The pickup is an El Cabron "Black Special" humbucker designed by Grover Jackson and Mike Eldred, wound to 7.9k on an Alnico II magnet. That is a deliberately moderate winding on the softer of the two common magnets, which is what keeps a single-humbucker guitar from turning into one sound at one volume. Volume and a greasebucket tone control. The neck is quartersawn hard rock maple in a soft "V", oiled rather than finished, .950" at the first fret and a full 1.00" at the twelfth. Nine and a half inch radius, 25.5" scale, 6105 fretwire, brass side dots, Bi-Flex butt-adjust truss rod. An oiled neck on a distressed body is a guitar built to be picked up rather than looked at.
