Who this one is for

The American Professional Classic Jaguar keeps the 24" short scale, so string tension is lower than on a 25.5" guitar and bends come easier. It comes strung with .009-.042s. Two Coastline '65 Single-Coil Jaguar pickups under aged white covers run through a 3-way toggle with master volume and tone, plus a 2-position slide switch for the Strangle Circuit, the bass-cutting filter from the original design.

The bridge is a Jaguar bridge fitted with Mustang saddles, a long-standing player change on these guitars, and there's a vintage-style tremolo arm. The neck is a Modern "C" with a 9.5" radius and Medium Jumbo frets, the tuners are staggered ClassicGear, and the Greasebucket tone circuit rolls off highs without adding bass.

For the same offset idea on a full 25.5" scale, look at the American Professional Classic Jazzmaster. The Kurt Cobain Jaguar and the Johnny Marr Jaguar are two artist takes on the same body.

Faded Firemist Gold, Faded Sherwood Green Metallic and 3-Color Sunburst come with a rosewood board, Faded Lake Placid Blue with maple.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
