Who this one is for

An early '60s Stratocaster in look and voice, with a neck built for how people play now. Alder body in a aged Heirloom nitrocellulose lacquer, a rosewood board with clay dots, a 3-ply mint green pickguard, and three Pure Vintage '61 single-coils.

The quartersawn maple Modern "D" neck has rolled edges and a 10" to 14" compound radius, rounder near the nut for chords and flatter higher up so bends ring clean. Twenty-two medium jumbo stainless steel frets, a tapered heel, locking tuners and a 2-point tremolo round it out. The S-1 switch adds the neck pickup into positions 1 and 2, which gives you bridge plus neck and all three pickups together.

The American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster shares the '61 pickups on a period "C" neck with a 7.25" radius slab rosewood board. If you want a humbucker in the bridge, there is a '60s Stratocaster HSS in this line. Offered in Surf Green and Ice Blue Metallic.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
