Who this one is for

An early '60s Stratocaster with a humbucker in the bridge. Alder body in a aged Heirloom nitrocellulose lacquer, rosewood board with clay dots, 3-ply mint green pickguard, two Pure Vintage '61 single-coils in the neck and middle and a Haymaker humbucker at the bridge. The S-1 switch on the volume knob splits the humbucker, so the bridge position can go back to single-coil when you want it.

The neck is a quartersawn maple Modern "D" with rolled edges, a 10" to 14" compound radius that suits chords low down and bends high up, and 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets. A tapered heel helps upper-fret access, and the 2-point tremolo pairs with locking tuners, all short posts.

For three single-coils on the same platform, look at the '60s Stratocaster in this line. The American Ultra II Stratocaster HSS is the fully modern take on the same layout, and the American Professional Classic Stratocaster HSS a more traditional one. Offered in Sea Foam Green and Fiesta Red.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
