A Telecaster Thinline in two-piece select ash, semi-hollow with its f-hole, finished in Aged Shell Pink nitrocellulose lacquer and given Journeyman Relic aging: light play wear and finish checking rather than the heavier wear of a full Relic. The neck is 2A birdseye maple with a 3A Rosewood fingerboard.
The pickups pair a Custom Shop Hand-Wound Original Blackguard Single-Coil Tele at the bridge with a Custom Shop Hand-Wound '64 Single-Coil Tele at the neck, on a three-way blade. The neck has a '60s Oval "C" carve, a 9.5" radius and 22 Narrow Tall (6105) frets. Tall frets keep your fingers off the wood, so bends and vibrato take less effort, while the narrow crown keeps a vintage feel. An RSD Telecaster bridge and a bone nut round it out.
For the same pickups and neck without the wear, see the American Custom Telecaster Thinline NOS.
The photos show one example. Wood grain and aging vary from guitar to guitar, so the one built for you will differ in the details.
