Who this one is for

This Postmodern Telecaster pairs a Custom Shop Hand-Wound '63 Single-Coil Tele at the bridge with a Wide-Range CuNiFe humbucker at the neck, the type first used on the seventies Telecaster Thinline, Custom and Deluxe. You keep the Tele bridge pickup and get a humbucker for the neck, through a three-way blade with master volume and tone.

The quartersawn maple neck has a '60s Oval "C" carve, a 9.5" to 12" compound radius and narrow tall 6105 frets, with a bone nut and a vintage-style strings-through-body bridge fitted with RSD saddles. The body is sassafras or two-piece select ash depending on finish, under a DLX Closet Classic nitro finish.

There are four versions: Aged Graffiti Yellow with Quartersawn Maple, Ebony Transparent with 3A Rosewood, Aged Violin Burst with Quartersawn Maple, and Aged Crimson Burst with Flat-Laminated Rosewood. For two single-coils and heavier wear, see the Postmodern Telecaster Journeyman Relic.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
