Who this one is for

A Postmodern Strat with Journeyman Relic wear on the lacquer and Closet Classic hardware, so the finish looks played for years while the metal parts show only light age. The two-piece select ash body carries a 1-ply parchment pickguard, and the quartersawn maple neck has a '60s Oval "C" carve, a maple board with black dots and a contoured heel for easier reach up high.

The playability is modern: a 9.5" to 12" compound radius, narrow tall 6105 frets and a bone nut. Three Custom Shop Hand-Wound Master Design "Bone-Tone" Strat pickups run through a five-way blade that can blend the neck pickup into positions one and two. The volume has a Tone-Saver treble bleed so the highs stay as you turn down, and there are separate tone controls for neck/middle and bridge.

The same guitar with a rosewood board is the Postmodern Stratocaster Journeyman Relic with Closet Classic Hardware, Rosewood. Finishes here are Natural Blonde, Burnt Copper and 3-Color Sunburst.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
