Jim Root's Telecaster follows the same plan as his other models: a mahogany body, active EMG 60 and 81 humbuckers, one volume knob, a three-way blade and a string-through hardtail. It is built for low tunings and high gain.
The modern "C" maple neck has a 12" radius ebony board with 22 jumbo frets and white dots, a flatter feel than a vintage Tele that suits low action and wide bends. Locking staggered tuners help it stay in tune, and the hardware is black. It comes strung with .009s.
It comes in Flat White and is made in Mexico. For the compound radius board and a USA build, look at the Jim Root Stratocaster or the Jim Root Jazzmaster.
