John 5 has played with David Lee Roth, Mötley Crüe and Rob Zombie, and he has always been a Telecaster player. The Ghost is his high-gain take: two DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers, a single volume knob, a three-way toggle and a kill switch for stutter effects, with a hardtail Tele bridge cut for the humbucker.
The custom medium "C" maple neck has a 9.5" radius maple board with 22 narrow tall frets and red dots, and a Micarta nut. Locking tuners keep it stable, and it comes strung with .009s.
It comes in Arctic White with a matching headcap, a mirror pickguard and red pickup covers and knob. The John 5 Phantom Telecaster is the same idea in black with an ebony board and a Floyd Rose locking tremolo.
