Who this one is for

Johnny Marr's Jaguar is built on the modified 1965 Jaguar of the Smiths' guitarist and arranger, who has since played with The The, the Pretenders, Modest Mouse and the Cribs. The neck carve is taken from his original, on a 7.25" radius rosewood board with 22 vintage-style frets and a 24" scale.

The changes are all about control. A four-position blade on the lower horn gives you bridge, both pickups in parallel, neck, and both in series for a thicker, hotter sound. Two slide switches on the upper horn roll off low end, one across every position and one for the series setting only. The pickups are custom-wound Bare Knuckle Johnny Marr single-coils. The Jaguar bridge carries Mustang saddles with nylon post inserts to keep it stable under heavy tremolo use, and the taller arm has a nylon sleeve so it stays where you leave it.

Made in the USA with a nitrocellulose lacquer neck, in Metallic KO or Olympic White, both on rosewood. For three Kent Armstrong lipstick pickups and a flatter 9.5" radius, see the Limited Edition Johnny Marr Signature Special Jaguar.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
