Richie Kotzen's career runs from Poison and Mr. Big to The Winery Dogs and his work with Adrian Smith, and his Stratocaster was once sold only in Japan. It is still built there. The ash body has a flame maple laminated top, and the hardware is gold, with Gotoh tuners and pearl buttons.
The neck is a thick C with a satin finish on a 12" radius maple board with 22 super jumbo frets. The flatter radius and tall frets suit wide bends. Three DiMarzio custom single-coils run through a master volume, with tone controls for the neck and middle pickups, and a vintage-style synchronized tremolo.
In Transparent White Burst or Transparent Red Burst, both with maple boards, right-handed, with a gig bag. For the same player's take on the other body, see the Richie Kotzen Telecaster.
