The G6128T-GH is George Harrison's signature Duo Jet, modelled on the 1957 Duo Jet he bought secondhand in the early 1960s and the changes it carried. The body is chambered mahogany in black, with a silver plexi pickguard, chrome hardware, an offset strap button on the lower bout, and his signature on the truss rod cover.
Two DynaSonic single-coils run through a volume for each pickup, a tone control and a three-way toggle. The bridge is a rocking bar on a rosewood base, and the Bigsby B3C has a black Phillips head pivot bolt for the arm, one of the details taken from the original. The 1-piece mahogany neck is a "U" shape with a 12" radius rosewood board, pearloid hump block inlays, vintage small frets and a bone nut.
For a Duo Jet built to Gretsch's own 1957 spec, compare the G6128T-57 Vintage Select '57 Duo Jet. The '53 goes back to the model's first year.
