Who this one is for

The 00-28 Modern Deluxe builds the 00-14 fret rosewood body with Martin's newer materials. The European Red Spruce top and the Adirondack spruce braces are both VTS-treated, the X-bracing is GE-Scalloped, the bridgeplate is carbon fibre, and the bridge pins are Liquidmetal with red acrylic dots.

The Vintage Deluxe neck in select mahogany has a High-Performance Taper and a 1 3/4'' nut on a 24.9" scale, under an ebony board with abalone diamonds and squares in the long pattern. European flamed maple binding, heelcap and endpiece sit against bold herringbone and a zig-zag back strip, the headplate carries a 1933 CFM script logo inlay, and the tuners are Waverly gold open gear. Martin lists the LR Baggs Anthem as its electronics option.

For a 12-fret neck and slotted headstock in the same series, look at the 0012-28 Modern Deluxe. The 00-28 is the Standard Series version with an Aging Toner spruce top and antique white binding, and the 000-28 Modern Deluxe is this build one size up.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
