Why this one made the wall

#2969021

Celebrate three decades of Eric Clapton’s legendary collaboration with Martin Guitar with the 000-42EC 30th Anniversary acoustic. Limited to just 300 instruments, this milestone model takes inspiration from the guitar Eric played during his iconic MTV Unplugged performance, faithfully capturing the essence of that pre-war Martin. Crafted with premium tonewoods, the 000-42EC 30th Anniversary pairs a solid Adirondack spruce top with antique toner and solid Guatemalan rosewood back and sides. This combination delivers a warm, rich tonal depth, perfectly suited for both delicate fingerstyle playing and bold strumming. The scalloped Adirondack spruce Golden Era-inspired bracing enhances resonance and projection, ensuring this guitar fills any room with an unmistakably full-bodied sound. The genuine mahogany neck and Authentic 1939 shape, paired with a slightly thinner nut width and an ebony fingerboard adorned with Golden Era 42-style snowflake inlay, offer effortless playability and classic looks. Not only does this guitar showcase vintage-inspired specs and dazzling pearl inlay, but each limited-edition signature model includes a paper label hand-signed by Eric himself, a printed certificate of authenticity to further commemorate our longstanding partnership, and a premium, embroidered Harptone case with a matching shroud exclusive to this model. It even comes strung with Clapton’s Choice phosphor bronze strings for his preferred sound and feel, plus an extra set in the case pocket.

Frequently asked

Questions we get

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.
