Who this one is for

The 000-42 Modern Deluxe is a 000-14 Fret in East Indian rosewood under a European Red Spruce top, with VTS treatment on the top and on the Adirondack spruce braces. The X Brace is GE-Scalloped.

Abalone runs around the top and the rosette. The Golden Era Style 45 Snowflake inlays are abalone with mother of pearl on an ebony board bound in European flamed maple, and the ebony headplate carries the 1933 CFM Script Inlay. Liquidmetal bridge pins with abalone dots and Waverly gold open-gear tuners complete the hardware.

The neck is genuine mahogany in gloss, carved to the Vintage Deluxe shape with the High-Performance Taper, with a 1 3/4" nut on a 24.9" scale and Pleked frets.

Next to the 000-42, this one has the VTS red spruce top and the Vintage Deluxe neck in place of the Aging Toner top and Golden Era neck, and flamed maple binding in place of antique white. For the Modern Deluxe build with Style 28 trim, look at the 000-28 Modern Deluxe.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
