Why this one made the wall

The refreshed GPC-16E is the working end of the 16 Series: a Grand Performance cutaway at 000 depth, with a gloss spruce top in Vintage Tint over solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. The rosewood brings deep bass, rich overtones and articulate highs, and the GP body is narrow enough at the waist to sit comfortably for a long set while still moving air.

The cutaway and the 25.4" scale make the upper frets genuinely usable, which is the whole argument for this shape over a Dreadnought. Scalloped 5/16" spruce X-bracing, a Modified Low Oval neck with Martin's High-Performance Taper and a 1 3/4" nut, ebony fingerboard and bridge with Style 28 mother of pearl inlays. Antique white binding, faux tortoise pickguard, nickel open-gear tuners with butterbean knobs. L.R. Baggs Element electronics, Plek'd at the factory, softshell case included.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.
